Barking Park

Barking Park is a beautifully maintained park in a busy town. There are great facilities including a cafe, playground and skate park. There are also seasonal attractions including a Splash Pad, the Magical Unicorn Lake (unicorn pedalo boats) and Bounsea (giant inflatable castle).

🅿️ Parking - Where to park for Barking Park

Long Bridge Road Car Park IG11 8TA - enter through the main Barking Park gates. Two hours free parking - use pay by phone App.

The play area at Barking Park is primarily sand based. The playground has a boat theme. There are several large wooden climbing structures with different climbs - nets, steps etc. There is also a lot of sand play tables with different pulleys.

There is a large slide on a hill.

There are also a few small pieces of play equipment just outside of the sandpit area, on the grass. There is a small baby swing and ride of equipment.

What else is there to do at Barking Park?

There is a skate board park at Barking Park

Barking Park Splash Park

Barking Splash Pad is open from May. They offer 90 minute sessions which start at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. Children over 2 from £8, Adults from £5.


Magical Unicorn Lake

You can hire unicorn pedalo boats too! You can hire for either 20 or 40 minute slots. The Magical Unicorn Lake is open weekends and school holidays from February half term. The Magical Uniform Lake is currently open!

Where to eat and drink at Barking Park

There is a cafe at Barking Park - The Big Friendly Coffee. It is located next to the playground and lake. The cafe sells hot and cold drinks, ice cream and other sweet treats. They also serve pizza.
