The Essex Wildlife Trust Nature Discovery Visitor Centre at Bedfords Park is lovely. There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and shop with brilliant gifts. The local artwork on display throughout the centre is very impressive.
There are also views across Essex and London from outside the visitor centre. There is plenty of open space and woodland areas for walking.

Playground at Bedfords Park
The playground at this park is great! There is balancing equipment and a large wooden climbing frame. There is also a small maze, baby swings and a nest swing. There are plenty of things to climb on and jump off. The playground is not enclosed. Lots of space around the playground for picnics and running around.
Feed the Deer at Bedfords Park
The friendly deers are a real highlight of the park. The deers are fenced off but come right up to the fencing.
Bedfords Park Walled Gardens
Next to the Essex Wildlife Trust visitor centre is the Walled Gardens. The gardens are maintained by volunteers. You can buy seasonal flowers and produce grown at the garden. The Bedfords Park Walled Gardens are currently open Tuesdays and Thursdays.
