Grays beach playground is a large playground with a sand pit in the middle. The park also has mini golf, a cafe and splash pad. There is also a skate ramp, ball court and parkour area very close by. You can walk along the Thames Estuary and there

are also fields with lots of open space.

The large, pirate ship climbing structure is suitable for toddlers to teenagers. On the ground level there are lots of puddles, little seats and boxes to pour and collect sand. There are several different rope climbs, bridges and steps to get up to slide level. There are also several

slides.

There are also several other more simple pieces of play equipment with slides, climbing walls and sand chutes. The other climbing equipment could do with a paint, but they were all in good condition. There is also a rock climbing wall and a really big rope climbing pyramid.


Dotted around the sand area, on the grass are several benches, picnic benches and some equipment for smaller children including baby swings and a roundabout.



Where to eat and drink at Grays Beach Riverside Park?

The lightship cafe at Grays Beach Riverside Park is conveniently located overlooking the park. The cafe is run by volunteers. The food was tasty, in generous portions and reasonably priced. They serve a varied menu. The Lightship Cafe is ipen from 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week.


There is also a small soft play inside the cafe only really suitable for toddlers. It costs £2.50 for one hour. We were also greeted by Hugo the Hamster inside the cafe when it started raining.

Are there toilets at Grays Beach Riverside Park?

There are public toilets at Grays Beach Riverside Park inside the Lightship cafe. There are baby change facilities are available. The toilet facilities are available during opening hours.
