Everything You Need to Know About the RHS Guess How Much I Love You Trail
We love the children's classic 'Guess How Much I Love You' written by Sam McBratney and illustrated by Anita Jeram.
This year Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare are hopping over to several Royal Horticultural Society Gardens including RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Chelmsford, Essex. The Guess How Much I Love You trails celebrates 30 years of the wonderful tale. The new Guess How Much I Love You Trail can be found at Hyde Hall from February Half Term and will remain at the Royal Horticultural Society Gardens for the rest of 2025.
The interactive garden trail is beautiful and has various activities based on the story. The trail will encourage children to bounce, hop and stretch like Little Nutbrown Hare. The trail is also educational and teaches children about colours, textures and shapes.

Adventure Playground at RHS Hyde Hall
As well as the Guess How Much I Love You Trail, children will love the play area. There is a large tree house, climbing frame and wooden balancing equipment. There are also impressive woven willow structures close to the play area.

Cafe at Hyde Hall
The food options are Hyde Hall are great! There are two Cafes - Gardners Rest (located on Hilltop) and Clover Cafe. Both serve hot and cold food and drink. There are good options for children. The coffee is good! Alternative milks available.
Picnics welcome. There are plenty of benches and a designated picnic area with plenty of picnic tables.
