Hanningfield Nature Reserve boasts fantastic woodland walks around the reservoir. There is an abundance of nature which can be observed throughout the reserve, especially at the bird hides. The site is managed by Essex Wildlife Trust and there is an Essex Wildlife Trust visitor centre. There is a Wind in the Willows themed nature sculpture trail which children will love.
