High Woods Country Park is perfect for walking due to the wonderful meadows, lakes and woodlands. Highwoods Country Park also has nature inspired children's play areas. The playground was refurbished and reopened in December 2023.

Playground at High Woods Country Park

There are several play areas at High Woods Country Park.These playground are set in the woods so the grounding is naturally muddy and wet most of the year. The first piece of play equipment is a large climbing rock, located just next to the car park.

The playground at Highwoods Country Park has kept within the natural wooden play theme. There are seperate play areas, with equipment suitable for toddlers as well older children. Across the play areas there are several climbing frames with slides, a seesaw, swings and balancing equipment including a rope bridge.

There are some sensory boards. There is no accessible play equipment. There are benches surrounding the play areas.

Pond at High Woods Country Park

There is a seperate pond dipping area, which is fenced off and accessed by through a gate. There is a jetty, perfect for pond dipping. You can buy nets from the visitor centre.
