High Woods Country Park is perfect for walking due to the wonderful meadows, lakes and woodlands. Highwoods Country Park also has nature inspired children's play areas. The playground was recently refurbished and reopened in December 2023.

Pond at High Woods Country Park

There is a seperate pond dipping area, which is fenced off and accessed by through a gate. There is a jetty, perfect for pond dipping. You can buy nets from the visitor centre.

Playground at High Woods Country Park

The first piece of play equipment is a large climbing rock, located just next to the car park.

The new playground at Highwoods Country Park has kept within the natural wooden play theme. There are several climbing frames with slides, a seesaw, swings and balancing equipment. There is equipment for toddlers as well as large climbing frames and equipment for older children.

These playground are set in the woods so the grounding is naturally muddy and wet most of te year.
