A wonderful hidden gem! Close to the entrance of the reserve is the conservation centre. Inside the centre you can hire binoculars and borrow bug hunting kits. There are also toilets, including accessible and baby change. The small cafe can also be found here. It serves tea, coffee, cakes, chocolate bars and ice creams. There is limited inside seating but lots of benches outside.
š Just past the centre is a den building area and bug hotel. My kids loved this area.
š„¾ The main trail here is around 1.5km through the woodland. It takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour to complete. For us it was the perfect length. There are further trails if you would like a longer walk. The pathway is mainly grassy/leafy with some wooden bridge footways. Along the route there are plenty of benches and two nature hides.
š There is plenty of information displayed in the hides, letting you know what which wildlife to look out for. The hide that looks across the water is particularly beautiful.
š Regular events held by the ECCO. This summer they have hosted sunset music sessions and there is an upcoming bat evening (sold out). Follow @parndonnaturereserve for more events.
