A sand pit playground with a nautical theme! This playground is close to the Roding Valley Nature Reserve and the Essex Wildlife Trust Grange Farm Centre, where regular events are held.

What equipment is at Pelican Playground?
This play area has a large sandpit. When we visited there were lots of sand toys left in the sand to play with.
There are two wooden climbing frames in the sand. The biggest climbing frame is a ship on two levels, climbing ropes, a sitting area and slide. The smaller climbing frame also has a slide. There are also small nest swings and seesaw.
There is no accessible play equipment.
There is a lot of grassy space around the sandpit. Plenty of spaces for picnics.
Are there toilets at Pelican Playground?
Toilets next to the Grange Farm Centre. No accessible toilets or baby change. These facilities may be available inside the centre.
Where to eat and drink at Pelican Playground?
There are no catering facilities at Pelican Playground.
Events at Roding Valley Nature Reserve
Regular school holiday and weekend events held here by Essex Wildlife Trust. There are also nature tots sessions. Click HERE for more information via the EWT Website.
