The park hosts a sandpit, pirate themed playground, petting zoo, adventure golf, skateboard park, BMX track, model boating lake and an amazing seasonal splash park. Playground at Promenade Park

The Galleon - The climbing frame has lots of climbs and slides suitable for toddlers through to bigger kids. It also has stairs so easy for adults to go up and assist children too.

There is also a smaller play area close by which is sand based. Bring buckets and spades! There is a much smaller boat climbing frame suitable for primary aged children.

Beach Huts at Maldon Promenade Park

The sandpit is overlooked by beach huts, which are available to hire at a cost of £58 per day. Book HERE.

Splash Park at Maldon Promenade Park

There is a splash park in the summer months. Prebook your 25 minute sessions via the Places Leisure Website. Adult & child under 8 £3.25, Adult & 2 children under 8 £5.50, Adult & 3 children under 8 £7.75, Child over 8 £2.50, Additional adult £1.

Promenade Park Petting Zoo

Visitors will enjoy meeting the lovely range of farm animals (over 70!) including pot bellied pigs, goats, donkeys, Shetland pony, duck, chickens, alpacas and emu. The zoo is open 364 days all year subject to weather and other conditions. Admission is adults £9.95, children £7.95, concessions £8.95. No need to book for general admission. Park Run at Promenade Park

Parkrun takes place every weekend - adults on Saturday and Juniors on Sunday at 9am. Pre registration is required. Click HERE for Park Run Website.

There are lots of kiosks at the park serving hot and cold food and drink. There are several Riverside restaurants and cafes too.

There are various events held at Promenade Park throughout the year. Events for 2024 include Ibiza Classics, The famous Mud Run and Downs Steam Fair!

Toilets at Promenade Park

There are public toilets (including disabled access toilets) located next to the Splash Park by the Petting Zoo.

Is Promenade Park Dog Friendly?

Dogs and pets are not allowed within the fenced area of the Valley Play Area, Splash Park and Beach Huts at any time, except for assistance dogs. The rest of the park is dog friendly.
