Iron Latch nature reserve, Colchester, CO3 0JT

Friday 22nd July, 9pm

Fun for kids and adults alike at Iron Latch nature reserve. Identify various species of bat using bat detectors and afterwards, go to the reserve’s meadow to hunt for glow worms and count them for the yearly survey.

£4.00 per person. Children - free. Booking essential.

Soak up the beautiful summer surroundings on a peaceful stroll around the garden and enjoy a delicious bbq.

A sunset session of club anthems from the 90s and early 00s. The Hub Cafe will be open plus BBQ.

Flatford Wildlife Garden, Colchester, CO7 6UL

23rd July, 11am - 1pm

Make a butterfly feeder and leaf print onto fabric to make a flag. Play in the mud kitchen, den build and make a clay creature. Complete a wildlife trail and hunt for bugs in the meadow. Take the chance to practise your fire-lighting skills and toast marshmallows over the campfire to make a delicious smore.

Each booking must include an adult at the event. Adults do not require a ticket

Go on a wild minibeast safari, discover the aquatic creatures living in the river, follow the nature trail, learn all about your discoveries in the ID Zone, plus crafts and much more! Help the experts to count as many wildlife species as we can find!

Look for butterflies, dragonflies, bees and many more. This bug guided walk is suitable for adults and children over 8 years old.
