Thames Chase Forest Centre, Upminster

This Forestry England park has so much going on! Kids will love the playground and Superworm trail, based on the Julia Donaldson classic. The cafe and visitor centre are conveniently located close to the playground. There are also walking and cycle trails through the woods and meadows. ⁣

The small playground is located next to the visitor centre. It has a large climbing frame with a rope bridge, climbing ropes, slide and a pole. There are also baby/toddler swings, a big swing and a climbing structure with seats underneath⁣

🪱 Superworm Trail⁣

⁣The trail had lots of pictures and a few stencils to create character rubbings.⁣⁣ ⁣Activity packs £3.50 from the visitor centre and included a trail sheet, some animal fact cards, a super hero mask, an activity booklet (with spaces for character rubbings), sticks and a crayon.⁣⁣ The trail took around an hour, including lots of stopping to run into the woods and eat at the picnic area. ⁣⁣

🚲⁣ Cycle Hire

⁣Throughout the summer (from April to September), cycle hire is available at the Forest Centre. Cycle hire available on weekends during term time, and all week during school holidays⁣
