Thurrock Thameside Nature Park, Stanford-Le-Hope

Essex Wildlife Trust's Thameside Nature Park is amazing for families, walkers and little explorers. The reserve has nature hides to sit and observe birds and nature from, walking trails and a visitor centre with a viewing deck. Small children will love the boat themed playground and there is also a wooden assault course for bigger kids.

Check out this park for incredible views over the Thames Estuary! Plenty of wildlife and passing boats can be spotted from the edge of the water and from the viewing platform above the visitor centre.⁣

The park is on a previous landfill site that has been returned to nature and maintained by Essex Wildlife Trust. The drive up the the main car park makes the site feel very remote!⁣
