Roding Valley Nature Reserve, IG

Watch the seasons change in the woodland while playing, exploring and creating. Whittle a stick, make a mud pie, swing in a hammock, climb a tree, look for minibeasts. £7

Priory Park, SS2 6NB

The Southend Band will be accompanied by a Southend Community Chorus performing uplifting music to celebrate the coronation. Please bring a picnic and your own seating. Free

Flatford, CO7 6UL

The moths which can be found at Flatford Wildlife Garden are amazing creatures, learn all about them. Children are welcome at the event. Free

Garon Park, SS2 4FA

Celebrate the King’s coronation at the HUGE Family Fun Day at Garon Park, Southend. The BIGGEST inflatable assault course in Essex! Also find bouncy castles, slides, fun runs, assault course and a toddler zone.

Nature based activities in the woods. Stories in the hammocks, cook up a storm in the mud kitchen and more. This month, match up pictures and identify leaves to trees, make a leaf crown to take home and create some woodland art in the forest for all to see! Under 5s. £5

Learn about native invertebrates and how to find them on this family invertebrate walk, in partnership with Forestry England. The experienced walk leaders will guide you around the Thames Chase Forest Centre for an hour of fun and learning. £3.50 per person
